The place Dragove is surrounded by four islands of picturesque names: Tatišnjak, Veliki Platanak, Mali Platanak and Magarčić.
The surroundings of the place were inhabited in ancient times, and evidence to that are the Roman ruins at the foot of the hill Dubravica. The place has a parish church of St. Leonard, while in the immediate vicinity is the shrine of the Nativity of Mary, which is frequently visited by pilgrims from all over the Zadar County.
Southwest of the place is the beach Veli Žal, overlooking the island Mežanj and the open sea.
